Celebrating my scholarship awards by spending my Friday alone to make art YEAH. 

Ugh being on the RISD waitlist is going to make the next month unbearable

I’m so excited I got into a place I like so much! I also got accepted to my safety, Ringling, the other day, but I wasn’t too excited given that I’m not really interested in going to that school in particular or going to school in Florida period.

I just need to hear from my other 5 schools that I applied to, although SVA was my 2nd choice after RISD and MICA which are currently tied for my top favorite at the moment. 

I’m spending my summer at the Rhode Island School of Design. It’s a pre-college art program. You pick a major and take classes from RISD teachers and spend your summer experiencing art school. While it’s a lot of fun, the work load is pretty heavy and you get a letter grade at the end of the summer based on your performance. If you pass, you get college credits.

What makes it even more fun is that one of my good friends, Robby, is here with me. 

Yesterday was the first day, which is mostly spent getting moved in and introduced to the program. Today, being sunday, was mostly free other than a tour around campus. We get a lot of freedom here. We get to go wherever we want and explore the city just as long as were in before curfew (11 sunday through thursday and 12 for friday and saturday). I’ve already had a lot of fun just hanging out with Robby and some friends we’ve met in the dorms. I’m so excited for classes to start tomorrow. This summer is going to be fucking wonderful.
